Post 16 - What are my options?
Beauchamp City School
Brooksby Melton College
Virtual open events coming up later in the term, Students can find out more and register for the events at www.brooksbymelton.ac.uk/events.
Harington is an A Level only provider with typically 150 students in each year group. We have enjoyed a strong record of examination success and were judged as Outstanding by Ofsted. Class sizes are normally quite modest (14-15 on average) and our students have a chance to benefit from a range of activities such as Duke of Edinburgh (gold and silver), Young Enterprise Scheme, Sports Leaders and many more. Over 90% of our students opt for a university route, with typically between 40-50% achieving places at Russell Group universities. We are really proud of our students as they are mature and hardworking and ambitious.
Harington is based in brand new purpose built accommodation here in Oakham. Students are treated like adults but are expected to stay on site taking advantage of the available resources, especially our teachers.
If you are able to afford the time, I would welcome the opportunity to show you around the school during the day – you can hopefully have a quick catch up with the girls who speak fondly about you and their time at Kibworth.
More details of the school can be found on our website www.haringtonschool.com or Instagram haringtonschool_oakham
Whilst we are hosting virtual events such as our October Open Event and LC Online, we do have the opportunity for small socially distanced campus tours. Ideally, we want these tours to be available to those who may struggle with anxiety, have support needs or really need to see the college before submitting an application. Full details of campus tours can be found here.
Additionally we have our T levels Launch Day which you may find useful as staff to tune into on 1 October 2020 – more information can be found on the event page.
You may also find it useful to tune into our T levels launch day show-casing our offer, understanding more about the new qualifications and how as employers you may want to support. Find out more here.
